Breast cancer is a leading cause of death among women around the world, and survival rates among Egyptian women are extremely low. Mohamed Shaalan is spreading information and awareness, improving early detection and other services, and helping women to confront the illness from an informed position, so they may consider the best options for their care.
Description of Volunteer Opportunity:
If you want a real education in Breast Cancer prevention and care, this is the opportunity for you! The Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt (BCFE) is now accepting both interns and volunteers who will be able to learn about and participate in:
-Awareness campaigns and screenings
-Event planning and marketing
To ensure that you have a rich and educational experience, you will be able to rotate within most of BCFE’s programs including:
-Screening and Mammogram Program
-Breast Prosthesis Program
-Lymphedema Prevention and Treatment Program
-Breast Health Education through Lectures and Workshops
-Educational Materials, Websites and Media
